ABOUT SINGAPORE ART WEEK 2018
A joint initiative by the National Arts Council, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Singapore Economic Development Board, Singapore Art Week reinforces Singapore’s position as Asia’s leading arts destination. In its sixth edition in 2018, the twelve-day celebration (17 January to 28 January 2018) of the visual arts takes place in venues across Singapore, from galleries and museums to art precincts and non-profit spaces.
Singapore Art Week offers a myriad of quality art experiences which span the visual arts, from traditional to modern and contemporary practices to both Singapore residents and international visitors. Audiences can look forward to art fairs, gallery openings, exhibitions, lifestyle events, public art walks, and enriching discussions on art and culture. Singapore Art Week also aims to galvanise the arts sector to launch innovative art and lifestyle concepts and events in conjunction with art events during this period. Open Call for Proposals for Singapore Art Week 2018
The National Arts Council is looking to commission visual arts programmes that will take place during Singapore Art Week 2018 which happens from 17 to 28 January 2018.
This Open Call is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. Artists, arts groups and arts intermediaries are welcome to submit proposals for visual arts programmes.
The roles and deliverables for successful applicants include:
- Project management, including the management of programme objectives, timeline and budget
- Securing venue(s) for the programme, and ensuring related licences and permissions required for rental of venue(s) are fully obtained and/or paid by
- Managing a publicity and marketing plan to reach intended target audiences
Successful applicants will receive a grant from the NAC to plan and execute the programmes.
